NOMAD Station media café & terminals – 407 McGill

NOMAD Station is a café located in old Montreal, equipped with interactive video installations inviting costumers to enjoy an imported fair trade coffee and treats served in 100% compostable take out cups, while watching short videos from around the world. Projections and touch screens allow for collective screenings or individual visual experiences. Nomad Station on McGill avenue in Montreal is a prototype for Media Cafés in transit places like airports, train station or service-stations.

The café is also a venue for cultural activities : screenings, gatherings and talks. Each season, a visual artist is invited to garnish the mural inspired by the theme of exploration. The first to have taking up the challenge is Tim Barnard.
